RV Patio Motion Detector Light Makes Zingy Safer

My next modification to Zingy was the Motion Detector Light.  What a fantastic idea, you have one for the back yard so why not replace the porch light on your RV and install one of these babies.  As you can see from my 2 pictures I fitted one last year and it is fantastic... although the instalation was not so easy as I thought.  I ripped out the old light and replaced the security light in less than 15 minutes, but then i discovered a problem...

The under step light is wired to the same switch so when i had the security light on active.... the under step light was permanently on.  I resolved the problem by replacing the interior double light switch with a triple light switch. This means that now my interior lights, my security light and my under step light all now have their own switch.  Luckily all the wires passed behind the switch so it was just a matter of cutting and splicing.

The benefits are huge...... it comes on when you approach the RV so you can find your way to the door safely, it lights up the area if any one (or SOMETHING) approaches your RV during the night and you can set it to stay on all the time for sitting outside.  The last benefit is that it comes with an LED bulb which should last forever and it uses next to no power.

I love to use the white lens when there are no bugs around (it is much brighter) but as soon as those pesky critters show their insecty little faces I switch to the yellow lens because....... insects are not attracted to yellow light... Bet you didn't know that?

As you can see from the picture I have a white one fitted but they now make them in Black as you can see in the advert below.
